Daily Painters "Leapin' Lillies"

Well...they appeared to be Leapin' to me. This piece was inspired by a beautiful floral arrangement my studio partner Shelley created. I'm so lucky to come back into our cozy little studio to fresh flowers each week. This could easily evolve into a fun series of paintings.

Painted in soft pastel on sanded board, this piece measures 12" x 16" and is framed in a wide, dark wood frame with UV/non-glare museum glass. Ready to hang and enjoy, or give to that special someone as a gift. Buy it now price: $350 + $40 to ship anywhere in the continental U.S. or Canada.

Daily Painters "Five O'Clock Shadow"

With Fall in full swing, and the rains temporarily behind us, it's a great time for hiking in San Diego County. One of my favorite spots is Mission Trails Regional Park. Long shadows and the smell of wild Buckwheat and Sage, along with native Oak trees make these late afternoon hikes a feast for the senses.

Painted in soft pastel on sanded board, this piece measures 12" x 16" and is framed in wide, dark wood with UV/non-glare museum glass. A colorful touch of the back country, ready to hang and enjoy. Buy it now price: $350 + $40 to ship anywhere in the continental U.S. or Canada. Updated 12/4/10: Sold...to a new collector in Gig Harbor, Washington.

Daily Painters "Suns of Spring Three"

Sunflowers and springtime...just a fading memory as I sit here in my studio watching the rain come down in  buckets. I never realized how much of a "seasonal" painter I've become, until I received this request for a companion piece to another sunflower painting. I'm very pleased with the outcome, but now I'm back to preparing a few larger pieces for my upcoming show...more about that later.

Painted in soft pastel on sanded board, this piece measures 12" x 16" and is framed in coordinating dark wood, and protected with UV/Non-glare Museum Glass. It's ready to hang and enjoy. Buy it now price: $350.00 + $40 to ship anywhere in the continental U.S. Note: This is a pending commission sale. SOLD!

Daily Painters "Modern Melon"

Squash and Pumpkins and Melons...oh my! I'm on color and design overload this time of year. A simple trip to Trader Joe's takes double the time when I have all these colors and textures to examine. I think modern vegetable "engineering" must be playing a role in the wide variety of squash, pumpkins and melons available today. With that in mind, I guess this is my "State of the Vegetable (or are they fruit?) Address."

This piece measures 12" x 12" and is painted in soft pastel on sandpaper. It is offered ready to hang in a coordinating wood frame with UV/Non-glare museum glass. Buy it now price: $295 + $30 to ship anywhere in the continental U.S. and Canada.

Daily Painters "Autumn Harvest"

My favorite season of the year is finally here! Love those colors of Autumn and the smell of cinnamon, clove and ginger. Pumpkins on the porch, the chill that will accompany my morning walk, and soon the smell of logs on the fire that fill the night air. The stage is set for an Autumn still life painting.

Painted in soft pastel on a specially prepared board, this piece measures 12" x 16" and is offered fully framed in a coordinating dark wood frame with UV-non glare museum glass. Buy it now price: $350.00 + $40 to ship anywhere in the continental U.S. or Canada. Ponder the thought with a nice cup of tea... Updated 6/26/11: Sold!

Daily Painters "A Change in the Air"

Ahh...another beautiful Fall day here in San Diego. Today I've revisited one of my favorite scenes next to the Balboa Park Gymnasium. It's amazing how different this same spot can look depending on the time of year. Maybe my next interpretation will be a rainy day.

This piece measures 12" x 12" and is painted in soft pastel on sandpaper. It is offered in a coordinating gold crackle finish wood frame with UV/Non-glare museum glass, ready to hang and enjoy. Updated 4/30/11: Sold at ArtWalk!

Daily Painters "Sonoma Road #2"

It's back to memories of Sonoma today. There are endless inspirations while driving the back roads and exploring all of the wineries this area has to offer. Crisp, clean air...clear blue sky...and the smell of greenery all around makes this one of my favorite places to visit.

This piece measures 11" x 14" and is painted in soft pastel on sandpaper. Offered in a coordinating wood frame with UV/Non-glare museum glass, it is ready to hang and enjoy. Buy it now price: $315 + $40 to ship anywhere in the continental U.S. or Canada. Updated 12/6/10: Sold...to another new collector in Gig Harbor, WA.

Daily Painters "Solandra Maxima"

Yes, that's Cup of Gold for those of you that are Southern California gardeners. These rampant growers will keep even the most diligent gardener on their toes. Many of these vines in my neighborhood are over forty years old, with trunks the size of small trees. They're worth the constant trimming, with their huge saucer sized blooms, and glossy green foliage.

Painted in soft pastel on sandpaper, this piece measures 8" x 10" and is offered in a coordinating wood frame with UV-Non glare museum glass, ready to hang and enjoy. Buy it now price: $175 + $30 to ship anywhere in the continental U.S. or Canada. Updated 6/26/11: Sold!

Daily Painters "The Patch"

Pumpkins lying in the sand beneath palm trees...only in San Diego. While driving through the local beach area recently, I spied a huge pumpkin patch on a hillside overlooking the ocean. Palm trees swaying in the breeze overhead, they seemed quite content.

Painted in soft pastel on sandpaper, this piece measures 8" x 10" and is framed in a coordinating wood frame with UV/non-glare museum glass. A little touch of fall to enjoy. Buy it now price: $175 + $30 to ship anywhere in the continental U.S. or Canada. Thanks for looking. Updated 6/26/11: Sold!
