Daily Painters "Poppy Parade"

It's springtime and the Poppies are on parade! I was at the home of a friend yesterday and spied what I thought to be artificial Poppies on her dining table. But no...this talented little lady had grown these beauties in her own back yard. They were unbelieveably perky and perfect, not a snail nibble to be found. Yes...now I must have some too...now where did I put that trowel...?

Painted in soft pastel on sandpaper, this piece is 12" x 12" and is offered framed in a wide wood frame with gold crackle finish, black liner and UV/Non-glare museum glass. Buy it now price $295 + $30 to ship anywhere in the continental U.S. or Canada. Updated 6/22/11: Sold, to a cute young girl from Colorado!

Daily Painters "Morning Magic"

While on a recent vacation, I went for an early morning walk in the hills. While crossing a small foot bridge, I paused to take in the beautiful view. The only thing that could have made this scene more complete would have been a duck or two...I'm sure they were still snoozing in their nests.

Painted in soft pastel on sandpaper, this piece measures 12" x 12" and is framed with UV/non-glare glass, in a wide, dark wood finish frame with gold liner...very striking! I'm trying out these new frames for my square pieces and they look great. Buy it now: $295 + $30 to ship anywhere in the continental U.S. or Canada. Thanks for looking. Updated 5/7/11: Sold to a couple from Corona del Mar, thank you!

Daily Painters "Coastal Walk #3"

Since my "brick and mortar" gallery is located in a tourist area of San Diego, I frequently paint local landscapes. This is one of my favorite trails along Torrey Pines State Park. I'm particularly drawn to the shapes of the windblown trees and shrubs in this area. They look very "Dr. Seuss" to me.

Painted in soft pastel on sandpaper, this piece measures 12" x 12" and is framed with UV/non-glare glass, in a wide, gold crackle finish frame with black liner...very striking! I'm trying out these new frames for my square pieces and they look great. Buy it now: $295 + $30 to ship anywhere in the continental U.S. or Canada. Thanks for looking. Updated 4/13/11: Sold...to a new collector in La Grange Highlands, Illinois!

Daily Painters "Nifty A"

A special request for something "Model A" coupled with a recent trip to the "Temecula Rod Run" got my creative juices flowing to all things automotive. Cars are always a fun challenge, and working to capture the personality of a particular model is something that I truly enjoy.

Painted in soft pastel on sandpaper, this painting measures 12" x 16" and is framed in wide, dark wood with UV/non-glare museum glass. Priced at $350 + $40 to ship anywhere in the continental U.S. or Canada, this piece is the perfect "man gift". Updated 3/22/11: Sold!

Daily Painters "Paddle Play"

I'm back to the Nopales...cactus that is...and the winter rains have washed their paddles to a bright shine. Little weed heads dancing in the wind, begging for my attention, and sure to lead to prickled fingers. I'll let them dance for another day...

I began counting my creations as a New Year challenge, this is painting #20. I'm often asked if I really paint an entire painting each day. The answer is no...but I do go to my studio and paint for four to six hours every day, and sometimes a few at a time spring forth. My computer/paperwork is done in a few early morning hours around 5:00 a.m., and most of my framing/shipping is done in the evenings, after dinner, at my home studio.

This piece is painted in soft pastel on sandpaper and measures 12" x 16". Framed in wide, dark wood with UV/Non-glare museum glass, it is ready to hang and enjoy. Buy it now: $365 + $40 to ship anywhere in the continental U.S. or Canada. Thanks for looking :) Updated 9/8/11: Sold!

Daily Painters "Succulent Sunrise"

Yes, the sky this morning was almost on fire. It was the first crystal clear sunrise of the week, and I found myself out in the chilly morning air snapping photos in the succulent garden. My usual time in the garden would have the light high overhead, but the backlighting of the sunrise was spectacular, so I thought I would share.

On New Year's Day this year, I decided I would begin numbering my paintings as a fun way to chart my progress...got a little busy and forgot for a while, so now I'm back at it.

Painting #18 of the year, is painted in soft pastel on sandpaper, this piece measures 12" x 16" and is framed in wide, dark wood with UV/Non-glare museum glass. Ready to hang and enjoy, or the perfect gift in your Easter basket! Buy it now price $365 + $40 to ship anywhere in the continental U.S. or Canada. Updated 4/16/11: Sold...to one of my top collectors...thank you!

Daily Painters "Summer Oaks"

It's a perfect day for another oak tree painting. With just the slightest hint of Spring in the air, I can't wait until it's time to hit the trails again. Sometimes I'll paint trails and trees for a while, and sometimes I get going on other things. This weekend I'll be attending a much anticipated yearly show of all things "vintage auto." I'm sure my hubby will come home with lots of new goodies to jump start those automotive still life paintings... we'll just have to see.

This piece is painted in soft pastel on sandpaper, and measures 12" x 16". It is framed in wide dark wood with UV/Non-glare museum glass, ready to hang and enjoy. Buy it now price: $350 + $40 to ship anywhere in the continental U.S. and Canada. Thanks for looking :) Updated 4/14/11: Sold...to a new collector in Reno, Nevada!
