The Studio

In August of 2015 I moved to the "Kate Ashton Gallery/Art on 30th" complex. I occupy one of fifteen private artists studios housed in a wonderfully renovated, two story building just north of El Cajon Blvd. in the North Park neighborhood of San Diego. This is where I create all of my work, and house my inventory between shows. My studio is on the second floor, and about 400 sq.ft., approx. 20' x 20'. I just love it there, we have ample parking in the back of the building, air conditioning and heat, a little kitchen with refrigerator and microwave for lunch. On the first floor are two spacious galleries that double as teaching space, and we have a juried show with reception monthly.

I have plenty of room for display and storage of finished
pieces, as well as table space for canvas prep.

Here's another angle, looking toward my painting work space.
I paint right there on the wall, working on several pieces at once.
My desk for paperwork, etc. is there in the back corner. I'm often
asked if my studio is always this clean...the answer is yes, I'm
a chronic "neatnik."

I have a full wall of floor to ceiling windows for wonderful light!
My husband John is a photographer, and he joins me in displaying
his work during open studio nights, and that's his desk in the corner.
