Today I'll share a recently completed pet portrait. Lucy and Libby are the beloved Schnauzers of one of my top collectors here in San Diego. This was a fun challenge, and painted from a 3" x 3" photo! The Schnauzer breed holds a special place in my heart, and tears welled in my eyes as I painted this. My little salt and pepper girl of 14 years, Skidmore, has been gone for several years now, but I still occasionally hold her collar, and I think of her often. Oh shoot...now I'm crying again! Anyway, I love to create pet portraits :)
