Another favorite image of mine, the reference photo for this piece was taken on a rainy day right here in my own neighborhood. I was pulling into the parking lot of a local shopping center after a cloud burst of rain, and noticed these interesting tree reflections in the street and on the sidewalk. It's that time of year...I've been in "get ready for art shows" mode in the studio lately. Planning is underway for three outdoor festival style art shows, and a few solo indoor shows. Daily Painters "Cactus Flower"

Inspired by the annual "Cactus and Succulent Show" held here in Balboa Park each year, this was a fun piece to tackle. The paddles were deep hues of purple and blue/green, with an explosion of yellow blooms...almost unbelievable.
