"There once was a girl named Molly,
who was mommy to eleven cute dollies,
they sat in a pile,
with big cheery smiles,
and awaited the next downtown trolley."
It was a silly day in the studio, as I worked on this colorful "commission" piece for Katharina, a doll collector from Alexandria, Virginia. Painted in soft pastel on sandpaper, this piece measures 12" x 16" and is framed in dark wood with UV/Non-glare museum glass. $350 + $40 to ship anywhere in the continental U.S. or Canada. Note: This is a pending commission sale. SOLD!

Monique, this looks fantastic!!!
Molly's Dollies are just the kind of folly I like to spend time with. Fun painting. The doll collector should love it.
This is a commission I would have agreed to. The subject is one I would have chosen on my own.
Did you work from a photo, or did you have the dolls?
L.W.,
Thanks so much for your many kind words on my posts. For Mollys Dollies I did a rough sketch from a photo I took at a craft fair.
Thanks again for visiting.
Monique :)
Thanks for the positive input "Soft Pastel News!"
