"A Little on the Shady Side"
12" x 16" Soft Pastel on Sandpaper

The cooler days of November are definitely upon us here in San Diego. A recent morning walk revealed white, frost covered rooftops, and my chilly strolls have now become early evening adventures. Yes, to some it may seem trivial to notice just the slightest frost, but to this native San Diego girl, that is about all of a season change I've every noticed. Winding down my street, stepping from sunlight to shade, everything seems a little more brilliant and clear this time of year. I've begun to chop onions, nuts and celery in preparation for the upcoming feast, and today's painting reminds me that although I prefer summertime, winter also has its perks. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
"A Little on the Shady Side" is offered framed in a wide, dark brown, plein air style frame with UV/non-glare museum glass. Ready to hang and enjoy.
